Categories in Detail
- Recognising an organisation demonstrating outstanding sustainability leadership, measurable impact and a long-term commitment to environmental, social and economic progress.
This award is open to organisations across the global travel and hospitality sector that can demonstrate a comprehensive and credible approach to sustainability.
Judges will consider the scale of the organisation’s impact, the strength of its evidence, the quality of its leadership and the extent to which sustainability is embedded across its operations and long-term strategy.
- Recognising a smaller organisation delivering exceptional sustainability outcomes and lasting impact with comparatively limited resources.
This category is open to eligible organisations that meet the published size criteria, including independent businesses, specialist operators, social enterprises, academic institutions, smaller destination organisations and independent hospitality businesses.
Judges will consider the results achieved in relation to the organisation’s size, resources, operating environment and starting position.
- Recognising an emerging travel or hospitality business with an innovative and scalable model capable of delivering meaningful and lasting environmental, social or economic impact.
This category is designed for startups and scale-ups developing new technologies, services, products or business models that could help accelerate sustainable change across travel and hospitality.
Judges will look for innovation, evidence of early impact, a credible route to growth and the potential for the model to be replicated or expanded.
This category is free to enter.
- Recognising an organisation creating an inclusive, responsible and resilient workplace that supports employee wellbeing, development and long-term organisational success.

Judges will look for measurable improvements, meaningful employee involvement and evidence that the approach is embedded within the organisation.
- Recognising a collaboration delivering measurable sustainability outcomes that could not have been achieved by the participating organisations independently.
Entries may be submitted by businesses, destinations, governments, charities, community organisations, academic institutions or cross-sector partnerships.
Judges will assess the quality of the collaboration, the contribution made by each partner, the outcomes achieved and the potential for the partnership model to be replicated.
- Recognising a pioneering product, service, technology or business model advancing sustainability and resilience across travel and hospitality.
Entries should demonstrate how the innovation addresses a clearly defined challenge and provide evidence of the environmental, social, cultural or economic outcomes achieved.
Judges will consider originality, effectiveness, scalability and the potential to influence wider industry practice.
- Recognising a destination balancing tourism development with environmental protection, cultural preservation, community benefit and long-term resilience.

Judges will look for a coordinated destination-wide approach supported by measurable outcomes and credible engagement with residents, businesses and visitors.
- Recognising a smaller destination delivering exceptional sustainable tourism outcomes while protecting its environmental and cultural assets and strengthening local resilience.
