The World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards has forged a strategic alliance with the Future Hospitality Summit World (FHS World) to spotlight the individuals and organizations leading the way toward a more sustainable, net-positive future for tourism and hospitality.

As part of this collaboration, the 2nd annual World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards Gala will be held in Dubai on October 29, aligning with the closing day of FHS World 2025. Sustainable tourism pioneers will converge at Terra, Expo City Dubai, for an exclusive VIP event to announce the winners for 2025.

This partnership between the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards and The Bench, the organizer of FHS World, emphasizes a shared dedication to sustainability and highlights the collective efforts of the travel and hospitality industries to achieve net-positive outcomes.

Justin Cooke, Executive Vice President, World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards, says: “We are excited to partner with The Bench and FHS World. This collaboration enables us to showcase the best in sustainable travel and hospitality whilst engaging with the industry leaders shaping the future.”

FHS World 2025 will be held at Madinat Jumeirah from October 27-29, offering a premier global stage for the leading hospitality investment decision-makers to network, share insights, and discover fresh opportunities for collaboration.

Jonathan Worsley, CEO, The Bench, organisers of FHS World, says: “Sustainability has always been a key pillar of the FHS World agenda, and we’re proud to partner with the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards to celebrate the leaders shaping a more sustainable industry and developing strategies to tackle the most urgent challenges on the road to Net Zero. This year at FHS World, we are also launching the Net Positive Solution Labs with the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance to drive sustainable innovation in the industry as part of our commitment to a greener future.”

The 2025 Awards program encompasses all aspects of sustainable travel and tourism, ranging from community-driven projects and eco-friendly accommodations to ethical food sourcing and access to clean water. The winners will be announced at the Gala Ceremony on October 29.

Launched in 2023 during COP28 in Dubai, the Awards aim to honor and highlight the individuals and organizations at the forefront of driving change in sustainable travel and tourism. The inaugural ceremony, held in Belize in September 2024, united global leaders committed to sustainable tourism.

The Awards are organized in collaboration with the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, whose partners and members include more than 66,000 hotels, 8 million rooms worldwide, 300 brands, and over 100 supply chain and strategic partners.

Glenn Mandziuk, CEO, World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, says: “Sustainability is not just a goal – it is a necessity for the future of travel and hospitality. Hosting the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards 2025 at Terra, Expo City Dubai, underscores the industry’s commitment to driving meaningful change. Terra is a shining example of what is possible when innovation and sustainability come together, making it the perfect venue to celebrate those leading the way towards a Net Positive future.”
