Today is the last chance to vote in the inaugural World Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality Awards (WSTHA). The awards’ website will continue accepting online votes up until midnight tonight. After the close of voting, the nominee with the most votes will be declared the winner of their respective category. The 21 WSTHA categories were selected by the WSTHA Advisory Board of experts, reflecting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and net positive framework of People, Planet, Place, Prosperity and Partnerships.

The full list of WSTHA 2024 nominees can be viewed online while the winners will be revealed at the inaugural gala ceremony in Belize on September 27. Minister of Tourism & Diaspora Relations, Anthony Mahler, has gone on record to express excitement at hosting the inaugural World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards here in Belize. He noted that with seeing so many trailblazing companies and individuals nominated is truly inspiring and highlights the industry’s commitment to a more sustainable future for travel. Launched in 2023 at COP 28 in Dubai on World Tourism Day, the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards serves to recognise, celebrate, and share the stories of individuals and organisations that are accelerating change and making an impactful contribution in sustainable travel and tourism.
